”Itokuri Bushi” is a Japanese traditional work song from Amami Island, sung at yarn-spinning place when Amami was governed by Satsuma Domain. In this Suzumeno Tears’ cover, this island’s unique melody including falsetto is sung in polyphony and creates the psychedelic atmosphere. Tomoko Kageyama, who was also featured at duo’s leading single “Zaraita Bushi” plays the vibraphone solo and offers the track a taste of jazz.

今作は奄美島唄「糸繰り節」のカヴァー。奄美が薩摩藩の統治下にあった時代、今の名瀬の地あった糸繰り所で歌い始められたといわれる労働歌である。今作では奄美島唄特有の裏声を含む節回しに２声のハーモニーが重なり、サイケデリックな世界を構築している。西洋的な反復リズムには収まらない歌にあわせて複雑に組まれた拍子をメロディアスに支えるリズムセクションは、ウッドベース・服部将典、ドラムス・服部正嗣。そして先行シングル「ザラ板節」にも参加の影山朋子によるヴィヴラフォンが今作ではよりたっぷりとフィーチャーされ、前作にはなかったジャズテイストな作品に仕上がりに。
レコーディング、ミックス、マスタリングは折坂悠太、宇宙ネコ子などを手掛ける中村公輔。カヴァーアートは唄い手の中西レモンが担当。
